Apple Pie

Make a pie crust (regular  or gluten-free) and line the bottom of a 10″ deep-dish pie plate.

  • 8-10 C sliced apples
  • 1 (12oz) can frozen apple juice concentrate
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch or tapioca flour

Mix all ingredients except apple slices together in a pan and cook until thick, stirring occasionally to prevent lumps.  When thick, stir in apple slices and pour into prepared crust.  Place top-crust over apple filling, and seal the two crusts together.  Bake 350 F for one hour.
